"Had I Never Feared"
Had I Never Feared
So many times under my bed so scared,
Never knowing all along each fear was shared.
Even in a crowd I would feel so alone,
Never understanding it was my soul that left Home.
As life went on at times feeling safe,
Still fearing at any moment I would feel a homeless waif.
It took so many long and lonely a night,
Fearing invisible lost and out of sight.
Out of the darkness came a Light,
Each day grew brighter with less fear at night.
Today so different as my mind has cleared,
I understand I may have always been lost Had I Never Feared.
